There are some creations of God, some people who are truly special, charismatic. One such person was Thanasis Nikolaopoulos.


In my life, I have met only a few people who so spontaneously and generously felt the need to constantly give. Without demanding anything in return...


Ο Θανάσης Νικολαρόπουλος ήταν ένας άνθρωπος που πάνω από όλα ήταν φίλος. Όποιος και να τον γνώριζε τον έβαζε βαθιά μέσα στην καρδία του. Έτσι ακριβώς όπως έκανε πρώτος ο Θανάσης για αυτόν.

Thanasis Nikolaopoulos was first and foremost an excellent friend. An exceptional man himself with immense optimism, always with a wide smile, lots of energy, positivity and a constant sense of humor.

His favorite hobbies were diving and football, where he was also a member of Panathinaikos.


Ξεκίνησε καταδύσεις στην σχολή των Hellas Underwater Explorers και αφοσιώθηκε με πάθος σε αυτές.


  • From PADI Open Water Diver, after many schools and dives, he reached the higher levels and became a Decompression Diver and Cave Diver of TDI and Ice Diver of the Swedish Federation.
  • He took part in the first Ice diving expedition and school in Sweden in 1998. Since then, he has taken part in all HUE activities and supported them at all levels such as organizational and executive.
  • At all diving equipment exhibitions, he was at our booth, helping us present services and innovative diving products for Greek standards.
  • On Wreck Diving excursions or missions, either domestically (Nestos, Kassandra) or abroad, such as in Malta, he was with us.
  • He took part in the expedition to explore the Lagoon of Agios Nikolaos in Crete.
  • Πήρε μέρος στις εξερευνήσεις των σπηλαίων Μελισάνη, Ζερβάτη, Χιριδόνι στη Κεφαλονιά.
  • Took part in the organization of the two Amateur and Technical Diving Conferences
  • Πήρε μέρος σε όλα τα σεμινάρια μας, σε καταδύσεις σε λίμνες και ότι από τα πάρα πολλά που κάναμε.


Θα μπορούσα να απαριθμήσω πάρα πολλές δραστηριότητες στις όποιες πήρε μέρος ο Θανάσης. Το χαμόγελό του, η προθυμία του και το πάθος του θα μείνουν ανεξίτηλα στην μνήμη μας.
